In Other Parts of the World
In Memoriam to the "Father of the International Movement" Heinz Leymann, PhD, MD--Sweden
- Deceased Swedish Professor Leymann's "Mobbing Encyclopedia." This extensive site reflects Leymann's commitment to studying the health impact of the phenomenon. His term for bullying is mobbing and he tells why. There are at least 40 sections to the site (at least the English parts). No lightweight, this academic researcher and clinician, includes his technical papers. However, the writing is very useful to non-scientists. It is written with great heart. For the technical types, he justifies the use of PTSD according to DSM criteria met (if this is gibberish to you, just skip that part of his site). There is something for everyone. Once you master the fundamentals of bullying, go here. Movement through the sections is easy. Unfortunately, this world pioneer, who started the international movement, passed at an early age.
