The Healthy Workplace Bill's history in Oklahoma...

Sherry Hamby, a bullied target, professional children's advocate, expert amateur lobbyist, a one-woman dynamo is the catalyst for introducing Oklahoma to the WBI anti-bullying 'Healthy Workplace' legislative solution.

Sherry was fired by her employer, in part because he noted that she was an advocate for the bill, just as she was a successful advocate for families and children.

In 2004, Oklahoma was the 2nd state in the U.S. to introduce what was then the 2nd version of the Healthy Workplace Bill, HB 2467. It, too, was authored by Rep. Gilbert. That bill was heard by the House Commerce & Labor Committee (which no longer exists) and voted down. Read the story.
